When a hole or damage occurs on your bar top due to beer tap relocation or other means, we will address the area by matching the existing wood species to create a seamless repair. Once repaired, the bar top refinish process of sanding down your bar top, tables or doors is extremely messy. It can be contained with the proper tools and “know how”. Our steps include not only those, but allowing enough time for thorough cleanup of the surroundings.
After sanding, your surface is stripped down to the raw wood material. If you desire a color other than the natural grain, the staining process occurs next. We only use top of the line oil based stains which provide a deep, rich color. The staining process generally requires overnight to dry.*
Once the stain has dried and cured, we begin the final step. This is a three coat, four-part epoxy which is hand brushed onto the surface. The first coat is applied and requires an overnight drying period.* Coats two and three each also require a night to dry.* After the first coat is dried and has sealed, the bar top/tables/doors are now waterproof. You can reopen for business and the last two coats can be done following nights.
